Political Analysis- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

I made a post analyzing her politics in the natal chart on my Left Wing Astrology blog, but her TOB was released, so I'll analyze the political indicators and ethics, as well as the chart in general.

Economics

Leftist- Venus in 12th house, ruler of Venus Jupiter opposite Neptune, ruler of 2nd house Saturn conjunct Neptune, Neptune parallel 2nd house cusp
Rightist- Saturn on 2nd house cusp, North Node in 2nd house, Jupiter contraparallel 2nd house cusp

Fiscal liberal.

Culture

Leftist- Moon and its ruler Mars square Neptune, Neptune at Moon/Mars midpoint
Rightist- Moon on 4th house cusp

Cultural liberal.

Pallas/Ethics

Libertarian- Pallas opposite Mercury and parallel North Node, ruler of Pallas Mars conjunct Sun
Authoritarian- Mars square Jupiter and semi sextile Pluto

Mostly defensive.

Fiscally and socially to the left, defensive Pallas- Principled Progressive

This describes AOC perfectly. However, the rest of her chart is also interesting. Sagittarius rising and Aries Moon are why she is so blunt and basically says what needs to be said. Sun in Libra, along with her midheaven are why she is so focused on social justice. Mercury in Libra on the midheaven means that she'll make her ideas public, such as the 70% tax rate on people who make $10 million or more each year (a bit too extremist, as the athletes, actors and actresses, and musicians make around that much and are under contracts to 1 percenters, who are basically multi millionaires and billionaires, which are the REAL problem, though at least it's something). Sun conjunct Mars also adds to the "Aries" energy she has. And Alan Lin also mentioned that Pallas conjunct Moon is a "fighter" aspect", and that is what AOC definitely is.

San Bernardino Gangs- Their Locations

San Bernardino is consistently rated as the most dangerous city in California, yet its gangs aren't as well known as those in south LA or Compton, because it isn't an urban metropolis. However, I know his city very well, as my best friend lived in this city for years, though away from the real trouble areas, so I know where all the gangs are here, like in the San Gabriel Valley. The main gang areas are the south side, the west side, and the east side.

South Side- Only the area south of the railroad tracks and west of the 215 is considered the "south side", which is home to one large Latino gang.

Verdugo Flats- Railroad tracks (northern and western border), City Limits (S), 215 Freeway (E)

West Side- Where most of the gangs are. Everything west of the 215 and north of the railroad tracks is the "west side". A very large Latino gang is east of Mount Vernon and in the areas south of 9th Street, while black gangs are dominant west of Mount Vernon.

Westside Verdugo- 215 Freeway (E), Highland (N), Railroad tracks (S), Mount Vernon (western border until 9th, then Garcia south of 9th)

Westside Verdugo Manor Boyz- Foothill (N), King (S), Macy (W), Terrace (E)
5x Hometown Gangster Crips- Pepper (W), Etiwanda (N), Rialto (S), Railroad tracks (E)

East Side- The largest area of the city, as everything east of the 215 and south of Highland Avenue is "east side". There are plenty of gangs in this area, though the territories aren't as defined as they are in the south and west sides.

Eastside IE Top Gang Crips- 215 Freeway (W), Waterman (E), Highland (N), 5th (E)
Eastside Verdugo Meadowbrook Dukes- 5th (N), Mill (S), Arrowhead (W), Waterman (E)

Eastside Verdugo Valles- Waterman (W), Tippecanoe (E), Mill (N), Central (S)
Eastside Verdugo Dwight Way- Baseline (S), Pacific (N), Del Rosa (E), Barton (W)

Squad G'z- Sterling (W), Arden (E), Highland (N), Pacific (S)

San Gabriel Valley Gangs- Their Locations

Before I got into metaphysical subjects, my biggest hobby was researching street gangs. It all started in the summer of 2003, when me and my mom were looking at houses for her ex boyfriend, a lawyer. In the process, we had to find out whether the neighborhoods were good or bad. Intrigued, I began researching online at a young 15 years of age, when I discovered streetgangs.com. The site is mainly about Los Angeles County, with the main focus being Los Angeles, Compton, and Inglewood. Compared to these areas, the San Gabriel Valley gets very little attention, due to the cities all being suburban in nature outside of Pasadena. However, there are still numerous gangs there, that have some of the largest territories in the county due to lack of competition.

Azusa 13- Citrus (E), Sierra Madre (N), Arrow (S), Vincent (W)

Political Analysis- William Barr

As you may know, in my Left Wing Astrology blog, I expanded upon the formula discovered by astrologer Alan Lin, where a person's political ideology, as well as ethical nature, can be shown in their natal chart. In my charts, the theory still holds true, and a big question right now is whether William Barr is covering for Donald Trump, or working with Mueller to help prevent an outrage from Trump supporters. Venus is the main indicator of economics, Moon for culture, and the asteroid Pallas for ethics. Aspects to Neptune and the South Node, as well as the 12th house, are indicators of left wing ideology, while aspects to the North Node, along with the 2nd and 4th houses, are indicators of right wing ideology. Pallas aspects to the Sun, Mercury, and North Node are indicators of a strong ethical nature, while aspects to Pluto, the South Node, and hard aspects to Jupiter are indicators of a weak ethical nature. His appearance looks like that of Taurus rising, which would also have his Moon and Pluto on his dad's Leo Sun.

Economics

Leftist- Venus in 12th house opposite Neptune, ruler of 2nd house Mercury biquintile Neptune and sesquiquadrate South Node, ruler of Venus Mars contraparallel Neptune
Rightist- Mercury in Taurus

Left wing, which is true to his Catholic religion.

Culture

Leftist- Moon sextile Neptune, ruler of Moon, the Sun, sesquiquadrate Neptune and trine South Node
Rightist- Moon in 4th house, Cancer rules 4th house, Sun at North Node/4th house cusp midpoint, Moon and Sun parallel 4th house cusp

Right wing, once again true to his Catholic religion.

Pallas/Ethics

Libertarian- Ruler of Pallas Pluto square Mercury, coruler Mars trine Sun and Mercury
Authoritarian- Pallas ruled by Pluto, Mars at Pallas/Pluto midpoint, Pluto/Mars midpoint opposite Jupiter

What leans very ethical on the surface actually isn't when you look at the midpoints.

Fiscally to the left, socially to the right, aggressive Pallas- Right wing authoritarian

This definitely suggests someone who's capable of putting party over country, which he seems to have done here and in the Iran Contra affair.

My 2018-2019 Solar Return Transits- Political

I already analyzed the transits to my 2018-2019 Solar Return in regards to my love situation, but I noticed that a few transits to the return coincide with political events. My thirst for justice and overall compassion in the government hasn't exactly been a secret if you've read my Left Wing Astrology blog or saw my posts on the Stars Over Washington blog, but it was just eye popping to me when I realized these transits, as it shows just how much I care about our country and how I want to truly "Make America Great Again", but not in a way that promotes greed, racism, homophobia, etc.

The day that the Sun transited Jupiter was election night. Basically, my lucky moment for this year was when the Democrats took the House, and I voted straight Democrat in every election, and in Dem/Dem races I voted for the younger one. I felt a big sense of relief when I found out that the Democrats took the House later that week, finally giving Trump the checks and balances that were nonexistent in 2017-2018.

On the other side, note the position of Chiron. Early Aries. The Sun just entered Aries now. This coincides with the release of the Mueller Report. To say I feel devastated is an understatement, as the anxiety is back since I was hoping for justice to finally come, and maybe it still will as Mercury is retrograde right now. Ever since I went through my spiritual awakening five years ago, I began to notice just how flawed our system is, and true to the nature of Chiron, this transit brought back that pain that I felt when I realized that our elected officials, or at least most of them, truly don't care one bit about us and only care about money and power. Right now, after going through my spiritual awakening and realizing that I feel so "alien" to everyone is because I'm an "indigo" who's here to witness these events and bring the change rather than be just like everyone else, that the ways of the current GOP are against everything I stand for as an individual, and to see no justice, while people who claim to be followers of Christ continue to support this regime of hate and greed, is just devastating.

However, while my anxiety has come back and depression is starting to set in, I will not be defeated and will continue to be a warrior for the truth and what is right, as that is what I am here to be and anything less is not being true to myself. The younger generation, Pluto in Capricorn, depends on my generation, the Pluto in Scorpio generation, as well as the Pluto in Libra and Pluto in Sagittarius generations, to set a good example for them as their parents, and failure is just not an option. At all.

The Mueller Report And How To Fix The Current Political System

On today, Sunday, March 24, 2019, the Mueller Report was released, and while it stated there was no evidence of collusion with Russia, Trump is not exonerated either. While I was hoping for a better outcome, it's notable that this action took place with Mercury, which rules communication, in retrograde. This means that this will likely not stand, as Trump by his actions is obviously guilty of SOMETHING. I mean, every time an event related to the investigation happened, there was ALWAYS a "distraction" tactic. The shutdown when the Cohen testimony was about to take place. The end of the shutdown the same day Roger Stone got indicted. The temper tantrum on McCain before the report got sent. NOBODY acts that erratic unless they're scared, as that's psychology 101, and if he truly is innocent, having a temper THAT bad would make him unfit for the presidency, don't you think? I mean, the president is our commander in chief, the leader of the military! And if this was truly a "witch hunt", why did all these people plead guilty? It wouldn't make sense to willingly accept false charges... that being said, I thought of ways to fix our political system. I have written this before on my Left Wing Astrology blog, but I have even more ideas now.

Recall Elections- We can have recall elections four our local politicians and our Governor, but not our congressmen and President? Under the current system, a president can only be removed from office by impeachment or the 25th amendment. Our congress, as we all know, is insanely corrupt and doesn't work in the best interests of the people, so if the president has his party as the majority in congress, there is no "checks and balances". This needs to be fixed.

Lie Detector Tests- The president, vice president, cabinet, and all members of congress should be subject to unannounced lie detector tests. The machines can be beat, though the chances of that are lower when the person has no time to prepare for it.

Rewards For Ethics- This is one of my newer ideas. Andrew Yang brought up the idea of upping the president's salary from $400,000 a year to $4 million a year to combat corruption. I really like that idea, and will make it even sweeter. The president's salary would increase to $10 million a year, and tax free. The salaries of congress members would also increase dramatically, also tax free, and would be subject to a yearly raise if they have a high approval rating. If their approval rating drops the next year, they go back to the base salary. This would make them WANT to work in the best interests of the people, as they won't get that raise unless they do what the people want. If the president maintains a good approval rating throughout his terms, he would also be eligible for a third term, but no more than that. I mean, if the president does a good job, he could potentially make $120 million and keep every penny!

Term Limits- The president has term limits, but congress doesn't. This allows people to become career politicians, and also become very wealthy as a result of years of corporate bribes. Senators would be limited to two six year terms, and Representatives would be limited to four terms.

People Should Have A Say In Regards To Proposed Laws- Right now, congress can pass laws regardless of what we think about them. We had no say in NAFTA, the Patriot Act, Obamacare, the repeals of the Dodd-Frank and Glass Steagall acts, any tax cuts or increases, the tariffs, the auto bailouts, etc. That is crazy, as we are still feeling the effects of many of these laws.

More Political Parties- Imagine if the Libertarian Party, the American Independent Party, the Green Party, the Reform Party, the Peace and Freedom Party, etc. were all legitimate threats to the Republicans and Democrats? They would have to step up their game in order to continue to be elected.

No Money In Politics- This is a big one. This isn't just corporate money, but ALL money. If money is taken out of politics altogether, anybody can run, and wouldn't have to rely on the backing of oligarchs to gain success.

Elimination of the Electoral College- Simple. The people elect the president. Our gubernatorial elections don't have anything like this, nor do our municipal elections, so why should the presidential elections?

These are just a few of the ideas that can be brought forward. We cannot rely on Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, William Barr, etc. to save us from this situation. We need to come up with NEW ways of thinking that are beneficial to the 99%, not the politicians and the 1% who finance them. Our children are going to inherit the world that we create, and wouldn't it be better for them to have a government where doing the right thing is rewarded and the wrong thing is punished? If they see that being corrupt or dishonest has its repercussions, they would be less likely to go down that route when they grow up! We can't allow politicians, billionaires, celebrities, etc. continue to get slaps on the wrist, if any justice at all! There is too much at stake and we need to be the change.

Love and the Solar, Lunar, and Venus Returns

At this time last year was the first time I ever truly fell in love. I am naturally a very detached person so this was quite a new experience for me. While this situation has been pretty much unrequited the entire time, I do feel that I learned a lot from it, about what it's like to truly fall in love, as well as feel heartbreak, and even learned more about myself in the process. As this was a new experience for me and I didn't quite know how to handle it yet, I looked to astrology to help guide me throughout, and discovered the Solar Return, Lunar Return, and Venus Return. Looking at all of these for last year, this year, and the coming years, it is all VERY interesting. First off, the 2018 Venus Return:

To help determine events in the chart, you watch the transits of Venus around the chart to Venus Return planets and angles, as well as natal planets and angles. You also progress the ascendant by one degree for each day.

May 18- I wasn't actually home this day, but at a friend's house for the gender reveal of his baby. Not much happened on this day, outside of my friend doing work on his laptop and his wife and sisters looking at stuff on their phones, as well as asking me if I heard "Laurel" or "Yanny", as that was going on then. All the real action occurred the next day. I told my friend about this crush, and he invited his sister, who works at a beauty salon, to "fix me up" for her. She forgot the equipment, but that was okay, as I was mainly anxious for the reveal, which I guessed right as it was a boy, and went swimming even though it was MAYBE 80 degrees that day. Later in the night, I began drinking, and actually drank way too much in an attempt to drown out the feelings I wasn't used to having, and eventually threw up in the yard. Not my proudest moment to say the least, but these feelings were foreign to me, as I'm normally an intellectual and detached Gemini. I then went to bed, and was eventually woken up in the middle of the night, and tried getting back to sleep, but couldn't, and I thought about y actions that night for a good two hours or so before finally getting back to sleep. This is my Saturn return period as well...

June 3- Venus was transiting the descendant on this day. I sent this girl a letter on my birthday, and the next few days she was acting very weird and ignoring when I waved. She came in the pool when I was there and I pranked her to see her reaction, and she was as friendly as usual, and even asked me if I liked certain foods and drinks and laughed when I danced to a song on her phone! I was convinced that she liked me that day, but the next day it was back to the ignoring. To say I was baffled and confused is an understatement... in the chart, her name asteroid is directly opposing Neptune, but I didn't include it for privacy reasons.

Late June- Ascendant conjunct anti vertex, Venus conjunct North Node- This is when my infatuation started to consume me. Remember when I said I wasn't used to these feelings? Well, this time I had another drinking episode accompanied by throwing up, this time at home. I felt so guilty about it afterwards, yet I wasn't judged at all! After this, I learned my tolerance to alcohol... Saturn Return!

Shortly before July 4- Ascendant opposite natal Karma, Venus conjunct Vertex- I wrote another letter, where I didn't confess my feelings yet, but invited her to watch a hilarious DVD set with me that I just got, as well as watch fireworks with me. I also got her a gift card for Red Robin, which was an indirect way to ask her out on a date. Surely enough, nothing happened, and I just brushed it off as her being busy or that she celebrated Cinco De Mayo instead. Note that her name asteroid is opposite Neptune.

July 14- Ascendant conjunct Neptune and natal descendant, opposite her name asteroid- I wrote a letter confessing my feelings, accompanied with a card where I asked her if she would be my valentine. In the letter, I gave her plenty of time to give me her answer, so when it didn't come right away I just thought she was taking her time and nothing more. Ah, Neptune...

July 16- Ascendant conjunct natal North Node- Me and my mom went to see the movie "Uncle Drew" at a movie theater a mile or two north of where we live, being basketball fans. I enjoyed the movie, but being in "crush" mode, I daydreamed about my crush being there with me instead of my mom the whole time! A very minor event, but nonetheless it happened.

July 22- Ascendant conjunct Eros, Venus conjunct natal ascendant- I was in the pool and I caught her walking by the pool next to her brother in law, where she smirked while nodding her head to him when I was having a "shy" moment. I am very intuitive and knew it was about me as my towel was in the exact same spot it was always at. I thought of this as "teasing" me, so I thought she was playing "hard to get". Ah, crushes...

Late July- Ascendant conjunct Chiron, Venus conjunct South Node- I was in the pool, and caught her, her son, niece, and nephew going to the pool on the other side of the building. Confused, I wrote another letter asking what was up, and asking if I unintentionally hurt her in any way. Two days later, her dad, brother in law, and the kids were in the pool with me and they were being friendly and even "put me on the spot" for liking her. Because of this day, I was basically convinced it was "hard to get". Two days later I thought I saw her going up the stairs, and when I looked to confirm, she was staring right at me. We stared for a few seconds until I had to help my mom find the house key as it was 9 PM. I was so convinced at this point.

August 20- Venus opposite Juno and Amor- I thought she moved out, and was devastated because I thought I scared her away. She came back a week later.

August 29- Ascendant conjunct Valentine and Uranus- She was walking with her son to the store and slowly walked down the stairs while staring at me. I was freaked out because she was that close and staring that way, like she was "checking me out"! I nodded and turned my head, because I was making a story book for her on her birthday, which was days away.

September 3- Ascendant conjunct 4th house cusp- I sent her the story book, another Red Robin gift card and another letter. The response was going to the other pool again, and I was hurt bad for the first time.

September 7- Ascendant opposite natal Pluto- I looked at her natal and discovered that her Chiron was on my ascendant, which is interpreted as someone you feel vulnerable around. I then wrote another letter offering to help her overcome her fear, if there was any.

September 12- Ascendant conjunct Jupiter- I was walking to the store and saw her with her son in front of the mechanical rides. She saw me and just walked away, while her son and nephew were overjoyed to see me, so I said "hi!" to them and went in the store.

It was at that time that I "got the message" and backed off, though it's been hard for me to go away completely because I got her son and nephew to really like me a lot! The Solar Return explains this perfectly:

In the Solar Return, her name asteroid is on the midheaven and conjunct my natal ascendant, meaning that she would basically be my WORLD this year... but, it is opposite Neptune! This basically says that this experience was MEANT to happen no matter what, and the Sun transited the midheaven around the time that I realized that I was living an illusion, while the ascendant was conjunct Neptune and the 4th house cusp! The Sun also transited Neptune recently, though this had nothing to do with that whatsoever, but rather me thinking I had breast cancer when in reality I was developing a mild case of the shingles! Another illusion... the same 12th house themes show up in the Solar Return, as the ascendant ruler Jupiter is in the 12th house, while in the Venus Return the ascendant ruler Saturn was in the 12th house conjunct natal Neptune! The 12th house and Neptune both rule escapism and alcohol. Also notable is that the Venus return ascendant is in the natal 5th house, which rules LOVE. The Solar Return is in Sagittarius in my natal 3rd house, which is very significant in that my crush was on an immigrant, and I made a conscious effort in order to learn more about Mexican culture and learn Spanish in order to communicate with her. I have also at the same time wrote a huge English-Spanish dictionary and made online quizzes and lists for her son, nephew, and niece. Sagittarian and Gemini themes played a huge part in the year... for events in the chart, the Sun was conjunct Venus and the ascendant was conjunct Saturn the day I sent the first gift card and invited her to watch DVDs and fireworks, the Sun was conjunct the Vertex while the ascendant was conjunct Pluto and the anti vertex when I confessed my feelings, and the Sun was conjunct the North Node while the ascendant was conjunct Mars when we stared for the first time. However, even though this experience was unrequited, next year's Solar Return is VERY interesting:

Notable aspects include descendant on natal Karma, Karma, anti vertex, and Neptune on my natal North Node in the natal 7th house, Valentine conjunct natal Venus and natal Valentine, meaning my Valentine return is happening at the same time, Moon is in natal 7th house, Venus in its own sign forming a grand trine with the Vertex and Saturn and conjunct natal Jupiter, Vertex, Cupido, and Eros stellium in the 7th house. Mars in 5th house, and Juno conjunct the North Node in the 5th house, as well as her last name asteroid, which is excluded for privacy reasons. Now the Venus Return:

At first glance, it doesn't look like much, but then you notice that Venus is the chart ruler. The Sun is conjunct Valentine on her Mars exact. The Moon is conjunct the North Node. Juno is conjunct her last name asteroid. The midheaven is in the natal 5th house instead of the ascendant. My natal Moon is on the Venus Return descendant. Uranus is on the ascendant, which points towards SOME type of change. Things that may be coincidental but also notable are that her birthday this year is on the same day as my Lunar Return, and my birthday next year is on the same day as her Lunar Return, and that my February 2020 Lunar Return is on Valentine's Day, with my Sun on the descendant EXACT. Speaking of Lunar Returns, a few in this period have been VERY interesting:

What's notable is that her Venus is on my Lunar Return descendant. The day I sent her the letter and she started acting weird, the descendant was conjunct Uranus and Valentine. On June 3, the ascendant was on the Moon. Also notable is when the ascendant was conjunct Jupiter, Psyche, and my name asteroid, I helped my other friend teach her 10 year old nephew how to swim.

Around the time when the descendant was transiting Venus was when I had my drinking episode. Moon was transiting the anti vertex the day I invited her to hang out, and transiting the descendant, North Node, and Venus when I confessed my feelings, which was also her Lunar Return. Venus was on the descendant this month, pointing towards a huge focus on relationships, though it was directly opposite Mars on the ascendant and not making many positive aspects. Also notable is that the ascendant is in my natal 5th house, the house of love. This was all meant to happen.

This was the Lunar Return period I worked on the storybook. Notice that Moon is the chart ruler and in the 5th house. The 5th house rules love and creativity, so once again, it was meant to happen.

This was the period when I finally broke out of the illusion. On the day I thought she moved, the ascendant was conjunct the Moon. It was conjunct Jupiter and Psyche the day she stared at me. The descendant was conjunct Juno and the Moon transited the Vertex on her birthday. Uranus was on the descendant, opposite Moon and squaring Mars, forming a "T square".

If you doubt Solar, Lunar, and Venus returns, DON'T. Events have occurred during every transit of the Sun, Moon, or Venus as well as the progressed ascendant to return planets and angles as well as natal planets and angles, and they describe what you'll be going through for that period very well.

The Indigo Children- Am I One Of Them?

Shortly after I discovered astrology, I also found out about the "Indigo Children":

https://www.sophiagubb.com/how-to-tell-if-you-are-indigo/

When looking at the characteristics, I was shocked at how many of them described me PERFECTLY:

1. Feeling like an alien.

First of all indigo people feel DIFFERENT. Not just different, but DIFFERENT.
Here’s a normal kid thinking he’s different:
“I wish I was cool like the other kids. Why do I get picked on like this? I’m so glad I’m better than all the other kids. No-one is as smart as I am.”

Here’s an indigo thinking he is different:
“I don’t understand. Why is it that I’m the only one who can see the things I see? Am I crazy? Why is everyone so cruel and stupid in the way they live? Why doesn’t anyone love me like I can love them? Why are people wasting their lives so much? Why are they such sadomasochists? Why does everyone try and be better than everyone else and own each other like slaves? Shouldn’t it be obvious that we could all just get together, solve all our problems, and enjoy life? Am I the only person in the world who can see this??
“Why am I the only person who can’t put on a social mask? Why am I unable to be happy with the way things are? Why is it that I feel like no-one else is really happy, either, they just put up with it? Is there something going on here?
“Holy $%&@ – I’m an ALIEN!”
Indigos often feel strongly like they are from another planet or another dimension (see above) or at least just generally “out of place”. They might be travellers and live in different countries, subconsciously or consciously looking for the place they fit in. They’ll relocate to find family that feels like family and a place that feels like home. If they can’t find that, they are prone to depression – even suicide.
This is spot on, and perfectly describes why I feel so different than everyone else, including my own family.

2. Anger

The power of the indigo lies in his or her soul, which lies underneath their external personality. This means they go through the same process of waking up to their essence as other people do, although generally at a more accelerated pace. During this time, they often go through some pretty rough times, and can fall into chronic negative emotion.
One of these (famously) is anger. Indigos have a very high self-esteem because they are POWERFUL – at least inside – and some part of their brain remembers a time in their soul’s past when they lived like kings. Guys, that’s what a Oneness world is like – everyone has a vast personal power. Weakness is not divine, it is an illness.

The self esteem is not a negative thing, but when subjected to the standard anti-self esteem processing of our industrial culture, where children are taught that they are powerless and dependent so that their energy can be sucked from them, indigos often react strongly. They know that they are worth more than that.
Here are some of my own thoughts from years ago, now happily transmuted into healthier energy:
You do NOT talk to me like I was shit. You do NOT talk down to me just because I am a child. I am NOT worth less. I am NOT less capable of deciding for myself how I will live. If you try and tell me what to do I will KILL you.
I wrote this a year and a half ago, in my first version of this article. I’ve since got to the point where it’s harder for me to bring back up those feelings and feel identified with them.
Note that in all the years of being possessed by anger and hatred, I never acted on those emotions. I also had an even more powerful underlying desire to do good and avoid causing harm.
Yep.

3. High Self Esteem

Indigos, at least deep down, understand themselves to be powerful and highly valuable. They see through the lie that people are not that.
They can sometimes feel emotions like low self esteem, shame, self hatred and so on. But the proof is in the pudding – when it comes to the crunch, indigos are rarely willing to settle being talked down to or being made part of a machine.
Even if they are so incredibly destroyed that they stop fighting, they will still feel a sense in such situations that things are dreadfully wrong.
This instinct will never let them be at peace with themselves until they recognise it.
This again.

4. Resistence of Authority, Structure, and Hierarchy

Indigos, seeing through the lie of society, know that the normal concept of “authority” is an illusion. They often dislike or simply evade teachers, doctors and anyone else who seems to look down on them. It’s not like they can’t love those people as people, but they are not willing to accept anyone as “above” them (or “below” them for that matter). When forced to live under imposed authority, indigos usually get rebellious. This can take the form of explosive revolution or perhaps more quiet, passive rebellion depending on the indigo’s particular makeup.
I remember as a child pointedly refusing to do anything my father told me until he learnt not to state things in the form of an order. He eventually stopped trying to get me to do anything, as he couldn’t understand that I just wanted to be treated like a real person. In class, I did everything to make people laugh as I couldn’t stand living like a zombie. I occasionally did things to make a point that the teachers didn’t own my will.
I was one of the revolutionary ones.
Once again, this.

5. Seeing Through Lies

Indigos see things as they really are. According to some, this would be because they are currently developing the energy centre of their third eye. Or maybe it’s just because they have enough spiritual depth, intuition and integrity to make deceptions useless on them.
They know society is a lie. They know there are more important things in life than what most people seem to chase after. They have powerful instincts guiding them in many areas of their life, and dismiss ideas or systems which conflict with their instincts. If they are brought up in religion or other dogmatic beliefs, they will eventually come to question them and break them down until they find something that withstands scrutiny.
The more indigos wake up, the more they question everything in their life. But even before the process their instinct to question is strong. As has been said about them in other places, they always say, “WHY?”
I have always been very intuitive, and never knew it until a few years ago. I have always seen things as a certain way, and most of the time, my instincts and intuition are correct.

6. Breaking Down Structures

Because of this, indigos rarely accept anything that has not been explained to them. They don’t like to do things just because everyone else does or because someone else told them to. They ignore rules unless someone explains to them why they have been put in place, as well as structures, routines, disciplines, rituals, or decorum that doesn’t make sense to them. They often stand out like a sore thumb in society unless they’ve learnt to camouflage themselves. Their presence can often make other people rather nervous.

So most indigos REALLY don’t get on well in school. And without exception they find “normal” jobs very draining and stressful. If they try to live like everyone else lives, they will probably end up suicidal.
Because of this, when they grow up indigos are usually involved in some alternative means of living: entrepreneurship, writing blogs :), art, alternative therapies, freeganism, activism, etc. Because of their disposition they may have a lot of problems in finding their place in life, which can be a factor for depression.
When an indigo is presented a structure which does not serve an authentic purpose, her first reaction is to work to break it down. This of course puts her at odds with school, work and everything. Indigos therefore either work alone or as leaders – they are not willing to accept other people imposing their rules on them. They are rebels and revolutionaries, made to remake the world.
This explains how my college days ended the way they were... I was meant to be a part of the change and help break down these structures rather than being a part of them.

7. Radical Authenticity

Maybe again because of the energy of the third eye in their life which lets them see to the core of themselves and others, indigos have the compulsion to be authentic and express their true selves. Authenticity is not simply a desire for indigos, it’s practically a need. If an indigo can’t express him or herself as he really is, he generally keeps quiet, goes away, or gets really pissed off. 🙂
Indigos have some serious problems in school because of this, where life is all about putting on a social mask. Life generally gets better after school.
Because of this inability to have a social mask, and inability to really connect with people on the level of their social masks (people require of other people approval for their masks, which indigos are not willing to give), indigos feel a very strong desire to find other indigos, people with whom they will be able to express themselves truly and share love on the level of the heart and spirit, not the mask.
THIS. I honestly don't KNOW how to be fake.

8. Love

There is no love like indigo love.

I have often found that the love I express or want to express with people, especially my lovers, is too strong for them. They either take it as coming on too strong, or as commitment and try to marry me. Neither is the case; most people just haven’t experienced such intense, unconditional love before, and they don’t know what to do with it.
When an indigo can’t find another indigo to pair up with, they’ll often be seen with older people who tend to be more sensitive and more capable of seeing the gem in the indigo’s soul. (In general indigos don’t have hang ups about age as they see people for what they are, not what their label is).
Indigos are warm people at heart and enjoy contact. This is because most humans have been infected by a cultural sickness. Indigos express themselves as all humans deep down want to express themselves but don’t have the clarity or bravery to do: lovingly. Touch, hug, kiss, “I love you”. They love for the god damn pleasure of it. And unlove is incomprehensible for them.
However, for the reasons previously described indigos are loners, so they may not actively express this trait.
Once again, THIS.

9. Depression is Common

Kristen Finlayson says that the depression springs from a combination of not actualising their personal power and not connecting with other indigos. Oh, let’s talk about power.
I have had bouts with depression before, most notably in 2011-2012 after my mom's boyfriend died and late 2017-early 2018 when I realized just how much Trump was trying to destroy our democracy.

10. A Sense of Mission

Indigos have come here to make a change, and deep in their soul, they feel that. They have huge energy and huge creativity, as well as intelligence – and these things want to be expressed. When they feel trapped in by the limits of this world, or too lost to work out what to do, this can result in some serious depression.
As indigos see the state that the world is really in, they feel an urgency to get things moving around here. They feel things are NOT alright just as they are. (Paradoxically they may be able to see the beauty and perfection in all existence, but that doesn’t make them passive Buddhist monks).

I don’t know where I heard this bit of advice but it rings very true to me – indigos should have an outlet for their creativity while they are waiting to know what their mission is in life. Our energy is strong and will find an outlet whether we want it to or not – and this could be in negative forms such as obsessive thinking or worrying as well as addictions or even excessive spirituality.
As a Gemini, writing blogs has been my outlet of creativity in regards to exposing the cold, hard truth about our country and introducing alternatives, and helping the kids in my apartment complex with English has also been a creative outlet, as it allows me to feel like I'm making a positive difference in their lives, while helping me get my mind off all the negativity that's gone on in the world. During my identity crisis in 2010-2013, when I had my last bout of depression, I didn't have that creative outlet.

11. Power, Creativity and Energy

As I said, indigos have huge energy. Whatever they do, they do intensely. They are often geniuses – or called that – in part I think because of their capability of single-minded focus on what interests them. On the other hand, if something does not interest them they are very good at NOT focusing on it. I’ve seen a pattern of high grades in class followed by low as indigos learn very easily but end up getting uninspired by schoolwork 🙂
Indigos are often classified Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I would like to take the opportunity to flip the bird now to conventional psychiatrists everywhere: we are special, not sick! If anyone gives anyone Ritalin for this “illness”, please shoot them. Or make sure that the patient in question is indigo, and if they are, shoot the perpetrator twice.
(I no longer feel the intensity of frustration as I did when I wrote the last paragraph, but I’ve kept it because it’s funny).
Indigos are usually multitalented. Their interests lie in anything creative, anything that expresses personal power, anything that expresses joy (particularly humour), healing, communication, spirituality and personal growth.
An indigo’s energy can be chanelled into love (see above), pure unconditional joy, intense focused learning or action, personal growth and spirituality, as well as hatred, intense depression, addictions, and drama (“little old me” syndrome). Whatever they do, they do intensely. An indigo isn’t half of anything. Even when they’re living like a zombie, they zombie HARD. No-one has ever been dead inside like an indigo who doesn’t know who she is. They practically vanish from this earth, leaving behind an empty shell.

Indigos are very, very powerful and probably at some level feel this. I know I do. I feel like my body is a poor expression of the size I feel – I am MASSIVE. I can take on the world! There is nothing I can’t do! I’ve also felt the opposite at times when I was zombieing, though. We’ve been brought into a world that trains people to be powerless. I also wonder if any spiritual beings or even non-spiritual beings have a vested interest in keeping indigos down. I never felt like I was particularly targeted, but I have heard from some active indigos that there is this anti-indigo conspiracy, involving implants, energetic manipulation, etc. No idea if that is the case. I’ve definitely seen some pretty destroyed indigos. But in any case when you remember you are powerful – and all it takes is to remember – NOTHING can stop you. You are the one and only creator of your own experience. I recommend all indigos I meet who are having trouble with power read up on the law of attraction. We tend to be especially good at manifesting once we get into the flow of it.
This, this, and THIS. I have always been extremely intelligent for my age, had a pattern of good grades in elementary school, followed by a decline in middle school, then better grades in high school, have many, many interests, wasn't diagnosed with ADD but rather Asperger's Syndrome, and had that "zombie" period in 2010-2013 when I didn't know who I was or what my purpose in life was at all.

12. Intuition

What with the whole third eye chakra thing it shouldn’t be a surprise that indigo children and adults are intuitive. They are capable of guiding themselves easily by their ability to “just kind of know” what to do, their gut feeling, etc. Whether this perception goes into the supernatural I think is often to do with whether they were brought up to believe in such things or not.
When they are lucky enough not to have shut down their third eye ability, indigos are basically just what the hype about them obsesses about – psychic kids. They see spirits, other planes, talk to angels and spirit guides, and see the future.
Not all indigos are at this level. But they all have the potential, as is evidenced by their strong intuition and their ability to see through to the essence of things.
It might not feel that special to you if you’re an indigo – that’s because it’s so natural. You might say, “Oh, I see how people are inside, but that’s not psychic, that’s just being perceptive, picking up on cues, etc!”
Well, being supernatural IS natural. It’s the zombies who aren’t natural.
I haven't seen the future or spirit guides or talked to angels, I have seen spirits before, as my old place that I lived in throughout my childhood had one. It never targeted me much, but I did see a shadow of it once coming out of my room. I have already mentioned the intuition.

13. Loners

The subject of loner-hood has been touched upon but it needed its own bullet point for emphasis. Indigos, when they don’t find other indigos to be with, are usually loners. They get frustrated by not feeling recognised by others and dislike trying to relate at the relatively superficial level that most non-indigos demand. They tend to have few relationships and prefer one-on-one relationships rather than groups, when they are socialising with non-indigos.
This has gotten better in recent years, but when I was younger, this fit me perfectly.

14. Sensitivity

I’m going to wrap this up with one last important trait of indigos. Indigos are highly sensitive. This is part of the reason they are such loners; they see inside people and perceive all the suffering and inauthenticity they’re filled with, and it isn’t pretty. Indigos can get very uncomfortable in crowds and large groups, noisy places, and especially energetically charged atmospheres such as conventional parties.
As I said, indigos feel things more powerfully. Their sensitivity is part of this. In general they FEEL more – more pain and more pleasure – because they are closer to their being.
This is also a part of the reason why they act the way they do. People, deep down, feel the same things indigos do. They often percieve the lie of society to a greater or lesser extent. But indigos really FEEL that. Not acting differently would be like voluntarily impaling themselves. They are just NOT able to do something which is discordant with their being, because they feel it, and damn do they FEEL it.
This is a strength though it can appear a weakness. Don’t listen to people who tell you you have a problem. If you can’t stay in a party because the energy is too heavy, that’s because the poison is in the PARTY, not in you. Other people can’t feel the poison so they just keep on wallowing in it – they become one and the same as the other people – so that’s their strength for them. Have some self-acceptance and don’t do anything your being tells you is not for you – your being is right, even if everyone else in the whole world tells you different. They don’t know what it’s like to be indigo. You are special, child of God.
This. I always absorb the energy of my own environment. When it's positive, I feel very good, when it's negative, well, I don't.

Other Indigo Child / Adult Traits

There are a lot of small cues you can pick up on for identifying an indigo child or adult. I’ve noticed that indigos often have a strong connection to children and animals, for instance. Or that they defy age classification. They can look like they are thirty when they are twenty (those deep, learned eyes) or they can look twenty when they are thirty (young, playful disposition). In general they age slower on an external level than other people.

This. I've always had the connection to animals, and noticed that I have this connection to children as well in my experiences since 2015. I also look very young for my age, though that is likely a Gemini characteristic, as I noticed that we all look younger than our ages.

Indigos have very steady gazes. Actually this is one of my favourite measures for an indigo because it’s the hardest to fake. Sometimes they might avoid someone’s gaze because of whatever reason, but their natural tendency if left unhindered will be to look someone very straight, very unwaveringly in the eyes. When two indigos look in each others’ eyes, it’s not unusual for them to end up gazing for minutes at a stretch. It’s in their eyes that you can see that deep down, they have nothing they really wish to hide.

I have this gaze, though I also have a Scorpio Moon conjunct Pluto, which also produces an intense gaze.

Indigos have a tendency to have harsh childhoods. I think this is because of their sensitivity and simply the shock of adapting to this world which wasn’t made for them. This pain can be lessened by growing up with indigo parents or parents that are otherwise highly conscious.

My childhood wasn't exactly harsh, but it was tough. I grew up never knowing my dad, who was a drug and alcohol addict who refused to grow up, and my mom left him, stopped dating for a few years, then dated somebody until he hit me with a brush, then left him, then dated a guy 27 years older than her, who acted like a true father figure in many ways, until his alcoholism got in the way right before I began puberty, and then she started dating another man, who I only saw a few times on weekends and holidays. The lack of a consistent male influence in my life has had a clear effect on me, and I have very little in common with my mom or any of my family members as well, which makes it even tougher.

Indigos often also suffer from some great disability, illness, or other handicap which causes them a lot of anguish; especially, again, in childhood. I don’t know why this is. Maybe they have some spiritual purpose for doing so, or maybe their pain from other sources just manifests itself in this way. I think my own 10-year illness was a manifestation of the emotional turmoil that came from events in my childhood, for instance.

See where I mentioned Asperger's Syndrome.

I have 18 of the characteristics listed here, so it's probably safe to say that I am an "Indigo".
